Why 8/10: Top pick for presentations: the fastest documented route from a few lines to a complete, good-looking deck, with PPTX, PDF and Google Slides export even on Free. Points off for credit limits, a free tier whose credits don't refill, and per-seat pricing for teams.

What it does
Gamma creates presentations, documents, websites, social posts and images from a prompt or imported content. Its pricing page lists, on the free plan, up to 10 slides per prompt, import from PDF and PPTX, and export to PDF, PPTX, PNG and Google Slides. Plus raises this to up to 100 slides per prompt and removes Gamma branding; Pro adds premium image models, custom branding, detailed analytics, advanced sharing, up to 10 custom domains for published sites and API access; Ultra adds the most advanced text, image and video models, up to 100 custom domains and early access to features.
AI work is metered in credits. Gamma's pricing FAQ lists 1,000 credits a month on Plus, 4,000 on Pro, 20,000 on Ultra and 10,000 per seat on Business. Unused credits roll over up to twice the monthly amount. The free plan includes 400 starter credits that do not refill, though free users can earn more by inviting friends.
Gamma's help centre notes that subscriptions are per user, so two people on Pro are billed twice. Gamma Tech, Inc. says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and runs a trust centre.
Against our runners-up: Beautiful.ai is stronger on enforced brand templates and smart layouts for teams, and Pitch is a collaborative presentation tool that suits startups working on decks together. Gamma's edge is the first draft: from a few lines, notes or a PDF it produces a whole structured deck with images in minutes, and its export options mean you can finish in PowerPoint or Google Slides if you need to.
Our verdict
Gamma is the fastest way to turn a prompt, notes or an existing document into a complete, good-looking deck, document or simple website. The free plan already exports to PDF, PPTX, PNG and Google Slides and imports PDF and PPTX, so you aren't locked in. Paid plans remove Gamma branding, raise the slide limit per prompt and add better image models, custom branding, analytics and an API. It is the pick when you want AI to draft the whole deck. Look elsewhere if you need pixel-perfect PowerPoint fidelity or strict corporate templates.
✅ Pick it if You want AI to draft a whole deck, doc or simple site from a few lines or an existing document, then export it.
⛔ Skip it if You need pixel-perfect PowerPoint fidelity, strict brand templates enforced across a company, or unlimited free use.
Pricing: As of 19 Oct 2026 (USD, per seat, billed annually, per Gamma's pricing page): Free $0 (400 one-off credits); Plus $9/month ($108/year, 1,000 credits a month); Pro $18/month ($216/year, 4,000 credits, API); Ultra $90/month ($1,080/year, 20,000 credits). Business plans for teams. Monthly billing costs more; Gamma says annual saves up to 28%. Prices may show in local currency and are subject to tax. Check site.

What to watch
Free credits are one-off: the 400 starter credits don't refill, so the free plan is a trial, not an ongoing allowance.
Per-seat billing: every collaborator on a paid plan is a separate seat.
Export fidelity: exported PPTX files may need layout fixes in PowerPoint, especially with custom fonts or complex designs.
Facts in generated decks still need checking, as with any AI-written content.
Branding: free decks carry Gamma branding until you upgrade to Plus or above.
Credit costs vary by model: the most advanced image and video models on Ultra use more credits per generation, so heavy image use can drain a plan faster than text-only decks.
